Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Salary: £25,000 – £27,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Working 9am to 5pm.

Our children and young people receive support from a small team of incredible Registered Managers, Support Workers and Teaching Assistants who strive to engage, motivate, and instill confidence and teach them life skills. Your key responsibilities:
We are looking for a teaching assistant who is eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic manner, to raise their engagement and improve the outlook of their educational journey. Children are referred to us by local authorities and schools and will require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey.
The successful candidate will:
- Taking the children on educational trips and physical education activities.
- Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the children’s progress.
- Cover sessions as and when needed in cases of meetings/annual leave etc.
- Carrying out administrative tasks.
Essential requirements:
- TA level 2/3 (required)
- Driving license (required)
- Experience of working within a school setting (required)
- Experience working with SEN / Learning Disabilities in an employed setting.
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- DBS cleared.
- An ability to build positive working relationships with both pupils and adults.
- Good organisational skills
- Flexible, creative, and resilient
- Be confident in working with children whilst being sensitive to their needs.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to manage groups of pupils and deal with challenging behaviour.
